What is Depilar?
Depilar is a unique, patent pending, permanent hair removal
gel treatment system derived from natural enzymes with permanent
results. It is applied after waxing and is completely painless. Made for both
women and men, it is effective on any part of the body for any hair or
skin color and for all skin types.
Treatments require regular sessions in a period of time. The number
of hair is reduced by appr. 20% after each treatment. After each
successive treatment re-growth time for remaining hair will be longer
and the hairs finer and easier to remove. A noticeable decrease in hair
growth will be visible after the third or fourth treatment. Note that
you may have a temporary increase in hair growth following the first
treatments as the body is reacting to the treatment. This will allow for
increased efficacy during the subsequent treatments and even more
visible results.
For permanent result 6 – 12 treatments are recommended. Please note,
not all hair cells are active at the same time and Depilar System only
treats hair that is visible at the time of treatment. Its effectiveness
is based upon the human body’s own enzyme, Trypsin. Due to its unique
formulation Trypsin does not interact with other substances or
structures of the skin and does not enter the circulatory system. It
has been tested for safety and effectiveness with convincing results.
Over 12 years’ of DEPILAR

’s development also involved 2 years of clinical treatments and tests.
What to Expect
To properly treat all hair follicles with the Depilar System 4-week
intervals between treatments are recommended for treatments on the face.
Note that certain factors can cause new future hair growth – hormonal
changes, during pregnancy or menopause, as well as use of certain
pharmaceuticals such as HRT and genetic predispositions for future hair
growth due to the aging process – and may require additional treatments.
In very rare cases a small local urticarial rash can result that will
disappear within 48 hours. A patch test may be requested 24 hours before
the procedure.
This treatment is not recommended for those who react or are sensitive to salicylic acidADVANTAGES

FAQ
| Q: |
I have been getting laser hair removal treatments, can I use Depilar System? |
|
Yes. The Depilar System will
work if you have not had success with laser treatments. You must
discontinue laser treatments and perform regular and successive Depilar
System treatments. |
| Q: |
Is there any protocol I should follow prior to a Depilar System treatment? |
|
Yes. It is recommended that you
not shower or bathe 2 hours prior to a Depilar Treatment. Also, no oils
or talcs should be used in conjunction with the hair removal procedure
as these may clog pores or change the pH of the skin. |
| Q: |
What kind of wax can be used? |
|
We use any type of wax or sugaring product for the hair removal procedure. |
| Q: |
I have dry skin. Is that a problem? |
|
No. We simply exfoliate or dry brush the skin prior to your treatment. |
| Q: |
How often should I perform a Depilar System treatment? |
|
Regular and successive
treatments should be performed every 4-6 weeks depending on hair growth
cycles over a 12-24 month period. The hair must be ¼ inch in length to
be properly removed by the root. |
| Q: |
I’ve had a couple treatments with Depilar System and I don’t see a difference? |
|
The Depilar System only treats
hair that is visible and in the anagen or growth phase. Each hair growth
cycle must be treated separately and, depending on the area treated,
4-5 treatments may be required before a visible result. |
| Q: |
I just started the Depilar System and am seeing more hair, not less. |
|
Often a temporary increase in
hair growth occurs following the first treatments as the body is
reacting to the hair removal process. Removing hair by the root can
reset the anagen phase for hair producing cells. Dormant hair producing
cells are activated and will allow for increased efficacy for subsequent
treatments and even more visible results. |
| Q: |
Is there anything I should do after a Depilar System treatment? |
|
Yes. Do not shower or bathe for
45 minutes after treatment. It is also advised to perform an exfoliation
or dry brushing of the treated area 4-5 days post-treatment. |
| Q: |
Are there restrictions to sun exposure after Depilar System a treatment? |
|
After any waxing or sugaring
treatment sun exposure should be avoided for 24 hours, giving the skin a
chance to recuperate. And as always, be sure to wear sunscreen, avoid
the sun at noon and don’t stay in the sun too long. |
HAIR GROWTH FACTS Hair growth is classified in three stages:

- anagen
During the anagen phase the papilla cells connect with the base of
the hair follicle and cause hair growth. On average at any one time
approximately 20% of the body’s hair follicles are in the anagen phase.
During this phase when the growing hair is removed by waxing or
tweezing the papilla cells are exposed. Through the empty hair follicle
the Depilar System can reach these cells break them down and thus
inhibit hair growth.
- catagen
The catagen phase is when the papilla cells retract from the follicle and the hair ceases to grow further.
- telogen
The telogen phase is when the body expels the dead hair. During the
catagen and telogen phases, the Depilar System is ineffective on those
specific hair follicles as the papilla cells are unexposed and
unreachable.
The Depilar System has not been tested on animals. More info at www.depilarsystem.com.
